5 Ways to Stay Engaged with your Customers
5 Ways to Stay Engaged with your Customers
During this time of physical distancing, we want to position our businesses in a way that stays top of mind to our customers while also letting them know the changes we are making to keep them safe. Here are 5 easy ways you can stay connected to your community and customers while keeping them informed of how you are responding to the pandemic.
- Update On-site Signage with the Right Messaging
If you are still up and running, or plan to be soon, it’s important to tell customers you are operating, but in a way that is safe and is adhering to CDC guidance. Display signage with statements like:- Interaction-Free Environment
- Committed to Clean
- Stay Clean, Stay Safe
Focusing on staying clean can also gently encourage people to continue to wash their vehicles while also letting them know you are open for business.
- Keep Your Hours Up to Date
Make sure your hours of operation are up to date. Be sure to update your website and any social media accounts for the business. - Stay Social
Social media is imperative as more and more people are going online to connect with each other. Some ways to keep things upbeat and positive include:- Highlight local healthcare workers or first responders.
- Show support for other local businesses that are still open.
- Engage your community with positive stories and updates on how you are working to bring them services safely.
- Say Thank You
For people who are supporting your business, either by coming in for a wash or commenting on social media, thank them. A simple gesture of gratitude can go a long way to strengthen customer loyalty. - Don’t Forget Your Club Members
Stay in touch with your club members via email. You don’t always need to offer a special or a deal to this group. Be creative and find reasons to reach out. Share positive news stories, ask them to tell you what they are up to, and feature them on your blog. Ask them if they need anything or if there is any way you can help them during this time. Email is a great way to stay in touch and keep your club members engaged with you.
Staying connected to your community is important. We hope these ideas help as you navigate your ‘new normal’. As always, we are here for you and are happy to answer any questions you may have.
